1. Lavender Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, honey, and dried lavender.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the honey is dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and let the lavender infuse for about 30 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture to remove the lavender buds.
  5. In a pitcher, combine the lavender-infused honey water with fresh lemon juice.
  6. Stir well and refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice with a sprig of fresh lavender for garnish.

2. Rose Petal Jam

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh rose petals (make sure they are unsprayed and pesticide-free)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rose petals thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Add the rose petals and lemon juice to the saucepan, stirring gently to coat the petals with the sugar syrup.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to a jam-like consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and let the jam cool completely.
  6. Transfer to a sterilized jar and store in the refrigerator.
  7. Enjoy the floral sweetness of rose petal jam on toast, scones, or pastries.

3. Edible Flower Salad

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry the salad greens and edible flowers.
  2. In a large bowl, toss together the salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
  3. Arrange the edible flowers on top of the salad.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette dressing and toss gently to coat.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy the vibrant colors and flavors of this edible flower salad.

4. Hibiscus Panna Cotta

Ingredients:

  1. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
  2. Meanwhile, bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over the cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes until softened.
  3. Once the cream mixture is hot but not boiling, remove it from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved.
  4. Add the dried hibiscus flowers to the cream mixture and let them steep for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the hibiscus flowers.
  6. Pour the strained mixture into individual ramekins or molds.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  8. To serve, gently unmold the panna cotta onto serving plates and garnish with fresh hibiscus flowers or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
